Child Safety Standards

Last updated: August 2026

Polygloat has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out our standards, how to report a concern, and what we do when one is raised. It applies to everything on Polygloat — uploaded videos, profiles, usernames, biographies and links.

1. Polygloat is not for children

Polygloat is for people aged 16 and over. Our Terms of Service require it, and every account confirms it at sign-up. The app is not directed at children, contains no content aimed at children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 16 to create an account.

Where the App Store or Google Play tells us a user is under 16, we block access rather than asking them to self-declare. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we terminate it and delete the associated data.

2. What is prohibited

The following are banned outright, and an account that posts them is removed permanently and without warning:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any depiction of a minor in a sexually explicit context, real, edited or generated.
  • Sexualisation of minors, including content that presents a minor in a sexualised way regardless of nudity.
  • Grooming, solicitation, sextortion, or any attempt to contact or arrange contact with a minor for sexual purposes.
  • Trafficking, advertising, or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a minor.
  • Links, usernames, biographies or captions that promote or point to any of the above.

3. How to report

In the app: every video has a report control. Open the menu on the video, choose Report, and select Sexual content or Illegal. You can block the uploader in the same step. Reports can be filed by any signed-in user and reach us immediately.

By email: write to childsafety@polygloat.com. This address is monitored and is also our point of contact for Google, Apple, regulators and child-protection organisations. You do not need an account to use it.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

4. How we respond

  • Every upload is screened automatically. Uploaded video is scored by classifiers for sexual and violent imagery, and transcripts are scored for abusive language. Material the classifiers react to is placed in a review queue, ordered by how much of the video is affected.
  • Every removal is recorded with the reason it was removed, so decisions can be audited and appealed.
  • Reports reach us immediately and are triaged from the queue. We commit to prioritising any report involving a minor over all other moderation work.
  • Confirmed CSAE means permanent removal. We remove the content, terminate the account, and preserve the material and account records as required to support a lawful investigation.
  • We report to the authorities. Confirmed CSAM is referred to the appropriate authority or hotline in the relevant jurisdiction — including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States and the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) in the United Kingdom — and we cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.

5. Design choices that reduce risk

  • There is no private messaging on Polygloat. There are no direct messages, no comments and no chat, so there is no private channel through which an adult could contact a minor.
  • Uploading is tied to a named account: every video is published under the uploader's username, visible to everyone. Nothing can be posted anonymously.
  • Any user can block another, which hides that person's content from them permanently.

6. Legal compliance

We comply with applicable child-protection law in the markets where Polygloat is available, including the EU Digital Services Act, the UK Online Safety Act, and US federal reporting obligations for providers. We keep written risk assessments for illegal content and for children's access, and we review them at least annually and before launching any feature that changes how users interact.
