Polygloat — Last updated: August 2026
This policy applies to everyone who uploads content to Polygloat. By uploading your first video you confirm that you have read and agree to this policy.
Polygloat is built around comprehensible input — a language learning method in which learners acquire vocabulary naturally by watching content they can mostly understand in their target language. The app analyses every word in every video and uses spaced repetition to recommend videos to learners at the right moment in their learning journey.
For this to work, uploaded content must meet clear quality standards. Please read this policy carefully before uploading.
You may not upload content that:
By uploading a video you grant Polygloat a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, irrevocable, sublicensable license to:
You retain full ownership of your content. This license exists solely to operate the Polygloat service and does not grant Polygloat the right to use your content for advertising or to sell it to third parties.
The irrevocable nature of this license means that transcriptions, vocabulary analysis, and anonymised learning data derived from your videos will be retained even if you later delete your account, as described in section 10.
Polygloat provides creators with analytics about how learners interact with their content, including view counts, completion rates, and vocabulary acquisition data. This data is anonymised and does not identify individual learners.
Polygloat reviews uploaded content to ensure it meets these standards. We reserve the right to remove any video that violates this policy, without notice and without obligation to provide a reason.
If you believe your content was removed in error, contact us at legal@polygloat.com.
Repeated violations of this policy may result in your account being suspended or terminated.
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. If we make material changes we will ask you to review and accept the updated version before your next upload.
When you delete your Polygloat account you choose what happens to your uploaded videos:
If you keep your videos: the removal code. When you choose to keep your videos, we show you a one-time removal code — exactly once, at the moment of deletion. Save it somewhere safe. Because we keep no link between you and the videos, this code is the only self-service way to remove them later: using it permanently removes all the videos it covers within 30 days. The code works once, and we cannot recover or resend it.
If you lose the code, you can still request removal by contacting legal@polygloat.com:
Regardless of which option you choose, the transcriptions and vocabulary analysis derived from your videos are always retained in anonymised form to preserve the learning progress of users who have already studied from your content.
